This weekend we brought home a new addition to our family!

He is an 8 week old red & black brindle mini dachshund boy. He only weighs two lbs right now but will get up Apollo's size when he is fully grown (which is 8.5 lbs).

When Eric saw him his heart melted.
Mine too.

This is the face he makes when he sees us leaving for work.

Apollo was having trouble adjusting the first couple days but he seems to be doing much better now. We are all adjusting to having such a tiny baby in the house again, he doesn't sleep through the night yet (he wakes up about three times) but hopefully in the next few weeks he will sleep all night and even gain a pound or two. I'm off to try to get a few hours of sleep!

Quick Update!

Today we helped Robby & Stephanie move into their new apartment at Three Palms, right down the road from us. It's going to be great having them less than 10 minutes away. Eric surprised me with an R4 card for my DS and it was packed with games! He put "touch the dead", "cooking mama 2", "harvest moon", "big brain academy" and even "nintendo dogs: dachshunds"! It was a terrific surprise.
Has taken over my life.

The other night on a whim I cut blunt bangs. They are adorable and I'm very happy with them, Eric loves them too. I do feel like I resemble Veronica from Archie comics just a little though. What do you think?

Eric is on his vacation this week, its awesome to wake up and come into the living room to see him smiling and kissing me good morning. And what livejournal entry is complete without a picture of Apollo.

Sunday March 15th Tiffany & Huy got married! But before the wedding festivities I had my very first Bachelorette party to attend. We had dinner at Green Iguana and then off to Whiskey Park for a "male review" which was so gross/cheesy/ridiculous. Everyone's faces were sore by the end of the night from laughing so hard.

I got harassed!

The wedding was Sunday morning, 11am at Indian Rocks Beach, it was really nice besides the beach on-lookers. Then we made our way to the hotel for the reception.

I'm a married woman!!

February 15th 2008 at 4:30 I became Mrs. Rachel Reyes!
I could not be happier, the wedding was perfect, our honeymoon was great and best of all I married my best friend, my soul mate- I could not ask for anything more. I fall more and more in love with Eric every single day.

Life has been ridiculously amazing to me and I am so thankful for everything.

25 days until the wedding!!

I can't wait-there are so many exciting things happening. Everyday is a new appointment with someone to get something finalized & our apartment is looking terrific! Everyday I'm moving more of my stuff in and he really loves the place. I can't wait to be there with him.
These were taken today-it was freezing tonight!

I've also turned 21 since my last update-sadly I had a really harsh flu on my birthday so I wasn't able to go anywhere (or eat solid food) but eventually I got over it and Eric took me to StoneWood Tavern for my (belated) Birthday dinner & some really cute gifts.

My mom & I have been so busy (and exausted) with wedding stuff that I haven't seen my favorite tiny person in over 2 weeks! And I have a bad case of missing her sweet laugh.

I'm now off to get some much needed rest before tomorrow's practice wedding hair run.

Josh & Jessica got married last Saturday!
It was a pretty awesome event, and Eric was a groomsman & myself a bridesmaid. It was the first wedding I was ever in so I was excited & nervous. I had to walk out first and I was nervous, but I lived and ceremony went really quickly and great. Eric & I were winking at each other from across the isle.

ps: I found MY wedding dress today at Demetrios and put my deposit down for it, in April I go back for my fitting and put more money on it. Needless to say, there were tears and it was absolutely everything I had ever hoped for and more.

Christmas

This was my second Christmas with Eric.
Christmas Eve we went to his Dad's familys house and there were atleast 100 people. Everyone on his Dad's side is cuban and they were speaking spanish and giving bear hugs.

Christmas day Eric came over early to open presents with me & open the ones my parents gave to him also.
He seemed really tired when we were taking pictures and it turned out that he forgot to take his medication the night before, (he is epileptic) and had some seizures. I laid down with him and we got through them, then we eventually got back to his house so he could take his medicine again and he started to feel better really soon after he got his pill. Thank goodness, I was so worried about him. It's horrible to see someone you love to much in such awful pain and uncontrolled state. It was the first time in 8 years he had a seizure, but they were really mild and he is alright. So after he felt better his family and myself opened up presents, it was really nice. His parents spoil me something awful.
I gave him his clothes & book & also kenny loggins tickets! (footloose!) and he gave me some clothes and boots and also... TICKETS TO DISNEY WORLD!
not to mention and Ipod Nano in hot pink! I was speechless and completely overwhelmed! It was a really great day over all, and I am going to get him a pill case reminder soon because with his new job, he is just exaushted when he gets home and thats how he ended up forgetting the pill in the first place. I know he won't forget it again but I want to make it easier to remember.

Christmas was amazing, but every single day with him is always amazing. I can't even describe how I love him & I can't wait untill we are married. Tomorrow we are going to Pier1 for their after christmas sale and get some more ornaments for our tree since they are super cheap and match our christmas color scheme.

Darkest Hour + Between the Buried and Me as well as several other bands played the other night
at the orpheum. The usual posse was there and Aaron brought his friend. Tonight Coheed and Underoath are playing, I am amped to go.
